Dog Fancy Magazine June Issue Article About Camping With Your Dog

Max and I are excited to be a part of the June issue of Dog Fancy magazine!  In an article written by Becky Blanton, it's all about traveling with your dog.  For the past three years, I've traveled the country with my dog and can't see a road trip without my best friend.  The first year was with my dog, Maggie and the past two years have been with my little man, Max.

The article also features all photographs taken by me, including a self portrait of Max and I camping in Yosemite last summer.

When I am not camping alone with Max, I enjoy meeting other women on the road who also enjoy camping. The other photos are of Martha and her dogs, taken when I camped with the "silver sisters" (women who camp together with their Airstreams) and Zola and her little baby on my trip with the "Sisters on the Fly".

I am looking forward to more camping adventures in the future!  The June issue of Dog Fancy is on newstands now.

Congratulations on your article and photos. I must get that magazine and read every word. I just became a Sister (#1819) and I know there will times I'll travel alone with my little dog.

Three of my favorite things (traveling, camping and dogs) all in one magazine. When I next head for civilization I'll be looking for a copy!

Congratulations!

Kudos from a fellow sister (#1670) and her 4 little furbabies. Heading out to a rally tomorrow for 5 days and taking two of them with us. They love to go camping. The other two will be p-o'd at not getting to go!

We just added a link to your blog in ours and tweeted about it. We had a wet holiday camping in southern Ireland with our two tri colour border collies. Lots of wonderful wet beaches to run on and wet dogs in the tent. Argh! http://thepresspack.wordpress.com/

Awesome job! I used to subscribe to Dog Fancy. I remember seeing these pictures, probably on your page. We have 5 dogs. It gets pretty wild.

I take mt dog along with me on travels too. He rides in the motor home just fine. He rides on the motorcyle too and is good for about 5 hours a day without getting too fidigety, I have even taken him up in the motor glider and he was OK with that.

You sound like you are having quite the adventure. Mine is limited to several weeks and all the long weekends I can squeeze in each year.

Hi Alison,
I'm in the Dog Fancy article with you with my dog Cooper! I was so surprised to come across your blog! I'm about to do what you're doing... camp across the US for a few weeks. Longer if I can sell my house before I leave. I can't wait. I'm going to CA for a national motorcycle event for Women On Wheels®.
I'll enjoy reading some of your stories. Maybe you can give me some pointers in how to keep the budget down.
I'm really glad to have found your blog.
